What changes when a Thai driver goes abroad
Thailand is a contracting state to both road-traffic conventions — the 1949 Geneva Convention and the 1968 Vienna Convention. That is the widest position to travel from. Where it matters is at the edges: 35 of the countries we cover recognise only the 1949 Geneva form — Japan, United States, Zambia among them — and 31 recognise only the 1968 Vienna form, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, North Macedonia. Coming from Thailand you are on the right side of both lists.
